SmartBench has answered the question of what's the best CNC flatbed router for schools and colleges, having recently supplied six PrecisionPro machines for staff to use at the Danish Innovation Centre.
The Centre purchased six SmartBench CNC flatbed routers as part of their remit to get new technologies in front of teachers and students.
It is part of a wider initiative to prepare students and teachers across Denmark for future technologies in construction.
Staff from the Danish Innovation Centre go to schools across the region to present to teachers and students and help to run a teaching course in CNC technology.
The schools can then borrow one of the six SmartBench PrecisionPro routers from the Centre for between five and seven weeks, and test it themselves in their teaching.
Then, a school can confidently invest in purchasing its own SmartBench.
Having previously used Shaper Origin machines, the staff at the Centre have been enjoying getting to grips with SmartBench and are planning to present to 10 carpentry teachers in the coming weeks.
These teachers will then showcase the CNC flatbed routers to their students.
This initiative has highlighted the flexibility SmartBench PrecisionPro can offer in an education setting, giving teachers and students a thorough introduction to the benefits of CNC and using our portable, large-format CNC router.
