Step 1: Loosen the motors
This needs to be done with your Smartbench powered off to disengage the motor power
The motor is set to allow the pinion to mesh with the rack. If you need to reset this position
To rotate the motor pinion, first slacken the hex bolt by using a 4mm torx driver and 8mm spanner and repeat the same step on other sides of the Z Head motor.

H: 8 mm spanner
Loosen off the 4mm hex socket at the top of the motor on both sides of the Z Head.
Once you have loosen all the screws rotate the motor as shown in the picture and repeat this step for the other motor.

Step 2: Lock the motor in position
Once you have finished loosening the motors, you will need to rotate the pinions back into the racks.
(Note these photos are just of the Z-Head to show the process easier - you will need to have your own Z-Head loaded into your upper beam to mesh in with the racks)
Rotate the motor pinions on both sides of the Z Head to mesh with the racks.

Tighten off the 4mm hex socket at the top of the motor on both sides of the Z Head.
And also tighten the hex bolt by using a 4mm torx driver and 8mm spanner and repeat the same step on other sides of the Z Head motor.
