This article will show you how to setup Fusion to work well with Smartbench:
1) Settings to take care are set correctly
A) Ensure you have on your toolbit setup "Clockwise spindle rotation" ticked
B) In the tool edit options under the Post Processor tab ensure the "Manual tool change" option is left unticked
2) Post Processor Setup
When you have designed your Fusion 360 file, you will need to export it for use on SmartBench,
This is done by use of a post processor - more information on what post processing is on this article
Step 1) Download the YetiTool SmartBench CNC Post Processor for use with Fusion from this link
Save this in a location you can easily find later
Step 2) In Fusion itself in the milling tab select the post processor options
This will open a settings window - click the file explorer option which will open another window
Press this button to import a downloaded post processor
Select the downloaded Smartbench post processor from earlier and press open
Step 3) Click on the imported post processor and click select
Step 4) The post processor will be imported, ensure your unit selection is in MM and click post in the bottom right (Don't choose inches otherwise SmartBench could bring up some out of bounds errors)
2) Machine Setup
Click on the manufacture settings in the drop down box
Click on the machine library settings
Head to Local and then click on create new
Select milling
Fill out the general information this is just for your reference to know which CNC machine this is for
In capabilities
Ensure only the milling option (highlighted in blue) is selected.

Untick “Automatic tool changer” and “Supports tool preload” otherwise your job files will not run

In the Post Processing options you can select the already downloaded YetiTool SmartBench CNC Post Processor
When done click on “OK” and then “Close” this will setup your Fusions files ready to use with SmartBench
