This will update the global settings for the tool and the new settings will be used for all future toolpaths generated using the tool. Any toolpath created using old settings will not be affected.
If you want to update the settings of an existing tool stored in the database, open an existing job file or create a new file. Then go to Toolpaths > Tool Database in the main menu.
Select the tool, update the settings and click on Apply and OK
